Concert 2010: 2nd installment

by ido4 on Sep.17, 2010, under Blogs

Finally, we have launched the official teaser for the upcoming concert on December 9, 2010 at the Araneta Coliseum.  By God’s grace, we have an early onset of promotions this year and not long after we’ll be seeing the posters, stickers and billboard signages plus special edition IDO4 shirts, baseball caps, baller IDs and jackets. All the proceeds of this event go directly to Project G-CCOTE which stands for Gospel, Church Center, Operation Tulong and Education.  For more information on this initiative, please visit its official website at: www.gccote.org

IDO4 Concert 2010 Teaser

Our worship leader, Sis. Leslie Santos, has just visited Osaka, Japan and Singapore with Bishop Luis Santos and Pastora Norma Santos to hold the Encouragers Level 1 and One God Worship Seminars.  A lot of our brethren were thankful for the said undertaking and are hoping for another set of seminars by next year.  Aside from this, she is also diligently involved with engaging the GCCOTE-Achievers LTAP, GCCOTE-Yupper CHADOP and GCCOTE-Nugen CCOP in various outreach activities, aside from handling the worship team and running the church administration.

Due to the unpredictable weather condition nowadays, we have met our usual dilemma: heavy floods.  Just recently, we have cancelled the separate practices for dance, choir and band due to the said problem.  This was one of the reasons why our vocal practice was moved to another place to make sure that we won’t miss the schedule since it is our usual avenue where we establish new vocal arrangements.

During one of the choir practices, the choir members were surprised when they were requested to sing individually.  Each of them was anxious for their turn.  On another note, one person was added to join the choir in the platform for Sunday worship services.  After the evaluation period, two more trainees will be expected to come in as well.

The band has polished some transitions in the line-up and was able to revise the musical arrangements of some of the IDO4 songs.  We have recorded two of the revisions during soundcheck last Sunday and it will be subject for review by an arranger.  The dengue outbreak has befallen one of the band members and we’re continually praying for his immediate recovery.  We understand that more challenges will come our way but God is always able and faithful.

It’s roughly 90 days before crunch time and we are hoping that we’d meet the event calendar as planned.  Tickets will be released soon! Watch out for the announcements and we’ll be posting the site where you can purchase the tickets.

‘Til our next blog. God bless you always and to God be the glory!

Day One

by ido4 on Aug.04, 2010, under Blogs

First Monday of August: we have officially commenced our rehearsals for the upcoming I.D.O.4. concert.  After the victorious One God Music Conference held last June and July (incidentally, we thank all of the participants for your full support, we hope to see you next conference :] ), we’re headed to the biggest challenge for the team this year.  The song lineup is already laid out and all of the sections (band, vocals, and choir) have begun doing their separate practice sessions.  Everybody’s excited of how God will once again move and minister to His people because year on year, the Lord worked magnificently distinct in the previous concerts.

During the rainy night of August 2, Sis. Leslie, our worship leader, run through three (3) songs with the vocals and made adjustments to the arrangement and dynamics.  We were moving on with the lineup comparatively fast until the fourth song.  There were several breaks and stops and we were really having a hard time making a “justifiable output” out of the song; then the Lord spoke to us.  Sis. Leslie exhorted on the lyrics of the song making the vocals understand that we must be able to “live” the message of the song even before we sing it during worship services and before the concert.   She said that even though we acquire the best voice and the best harmony, but do not “do” what we “sing” especially to God, the song will turn out plain and without power.  We wrapped up the practice and instead prayed to the Lord and meditated on the lesson that we’ve learned.

We’ll give you another sneak peek of what’s behind the practices, next up: band and choir.  We hope you’d regularly check our page and share it to your friends and loved ones; invite them to Araneta Coliseum on December 9, 2010.  We’ll keep you posted on the preparations, commercials and other details.  We will also be launching several premium items aside from shirts and baller ID’s.

The proceeds of all the initiatives of I.D.O.4. benefits Project G-CCOTE which stands for Gospel, Church Center, Operation Tulong and Education.  Right now, aside from the concert rehearsals, our leader and Church Administrator, Sis. Leslie Santos, spearheads the three major divisions of Operation Tulong: GCCOTE-Achievers Livelihood and Training Assistance Program (LTAP), GCCOTE-Yupper Community Health And Development Outreach Program (CHADOP) and GCCOTE-Nugen Children Community Outreach Program (CCOP).  Backing her up are her siblings, Bro. Ludwig and Sis. Weily, who leads the Yupper and Nugen programs respectively.  For more info on this, visit www.gccote.org

God bless you always, to God be the glory!
